Dr Sue's quick tips - Welcome

It's been said a million times "stop and smell the roses," but it's worth saying again. We live life at such a busy pace and are often quite disconnected from what we are actually doing at any given moment. We're so busy thinking about what needs to happen or what has happened that we don't notice what's actually happening. Our perceptions of the world and our experiences end up being shaped by the stories we make up rather than the evidence in front of our eyes.

So, take a moment to pause and land. Feel your feet connecting to the ground and take a slow look around at your surroundings taking in what you can see. Take a moment to check in with your body and notice what's going on internally. Take a few slow breaths in and slowly exhale. Notice what you can hear, smell, taste and touch. Try to absorb the moment of calm before moving on.

Have a great week!
